Company / About CloakNet

We believe the safest network is the one nobody can see

CloakNet was founded on a simple observation: most breaches begin with something that was reachable when it didn't need to be. We build the technology that removes that reachability — without removing connectivity.

Our story

From the plant floor to the cloud edge

CloakNet grew out of years of hands-on work connecting the hardest environments there are: factories, remote field sites, kiosks and critical infrastructure — places where downtime is measured in money and exposure is measured in risk. We watched teams juggle VPN concentrators, port forwards and vendor backdoors, and knew there had to be a better model.

That model is zero trust networking. We build on proven open zero trust overlay technology and pair it with industrial-grade hardware we engineer for the field, so the same security fabric extends from a cloud VPC to a PLC on a −30 °C hillside.

What we stand for
  • Dark by default. Reachability is a privilege, granted per identity, never assumed.
  • Open foundations. We build on open zero trust technology — no lock-in, full transparency.
  • Field-grade engineering. If it can't survive a factory floor, it doesn't ship.
  • Operator empathy. Security that's painful to run doesn't get run. Ours is simple to deploy and simpler to live with.
What we build

Two halves of one platform

The CloakNet overlay

A zero trust networking fabric that connects sites, applications, APIs, OT assets and AI workloads over outbound-only, identity-authenticated, end-to-end encrypted sessions.

CloakNet edge hardware

Industrial cellular and Ethernet routers — beginning with the CN350W-4G — that carry the fabric to the last meter: dual-SIM LTE, serial buses, Modbus and MQTT.
